Our partner considered the operation and maintenance of the physical servers to be expensive, and they would not have been able to move them to their new location – due to a lack of space.
We had to transfer the functions of several servers to the Cloud within a few weeks.
Used Microsoft solutions
We introduced Sharepoint Online software to replace the file server. Colleagues solve daily collaboration with the help of Teams. And the physical machines were virtualized in Azure.
The move was simple and efficient, in line with our partner’s work rhythm. Only the network devices had to be transferred to the new location. The entire terrestrial operation has ceased, they have completely switched to cloud-based work.
From then on, they are absolutely not tied to the office infrastructure, so colleagues can work anywhere at any time.
